Frequently Asked Questions

At our clinic, we provide a complete screening and assessment of your eyes. We start off by preforming some initial pretesting prior to seeing the doctor. The doctor then checks your eye movements, pupils, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and eye pressures. They then assess your glasses and/or contact lens prescription and thoroughly check your eyes for glaucoma, cataracts and other eye diseases. We also take a 200 degree photo of the back of your eye to ensure a more thorough check of your eye health.

To find the perfect contact lenses for your eyes, we do a contact lens exam followed by a training session and fitting for you. You will sit down, one to one, with one of our staff members who will properly teach you how to insert and remove your contact lenses. The doctors will fit you in a contact lens which suits your lifestyle and ensure that the lenses fit properly. We charge a one-time-fee which includes your training sessions, follow up appointments and trials of contact lenses. We want to ensure that you are 100% happy with the comfort and vision of your contacts before you order!

Contact lenses are considered a medical device, therefore we need to have an updated contact lens prescription before we can order lenses for you. We can always get a copy of your current contact lens prescription if it was from another clinic, or, have you complete a contact lens fitting with one of our doctors.

No problem, we understand there is an adjustment period to a new prescription but after 2 weeks if you still are having problems we can book you in to check things out! All our lenses come with a 30 day time frame to make adjustments if necessary. We are happy to work with you & troubleshoot problems so you can be 100% satisfied with your vision!

We do provide medically necessary eye exams, and they are covered by Alberta Health Care.

In most cases, no. We have an Optomap Retinal Camera which takes a 200 degree photo of the back of your eye. This new technology gives us a lot of information about your eyes. The doctor will assess your eye health and will let you know if they want to have you back for a dilated eye exam.
