Comprehensive Eye Exam

Your eyes change over time due to factors like aging, lifestyle, medications, and health issues. To maintain good eye health, the Canadian Association of Optometrists suggests that adults should get comprehensive eye exams every two years. Children under 18 and seniors over 65 receive free yearly eye exams through Alberta health care. If you need an eye exam for your driver's license or career purposes, let our friendly reception team know when you book your appointment. They'll be happy to assist you.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are a good option for people with vision issues who prefer not to wear glasses or find them inconvenient for their daily activities. Contact lenses provide benefits such as wider side vision, the ability to withstand different weather conditions, and the freedom to engage in sports or other activities without the hindrance of glasses. During your contact lens examination, we assess your eyes and suggest the most suitable lens material, design, and shape based on your individual eyes and lifestyle.

Medical Emergencies

If something happens suddenly and it affects your vision, it can be frightening! If you have eye pain, infection, sudden vision changes, flashing lights, floaters, or any other vision problems, come in for an urgent eye exam. Alberta Health Care covers all urgent eye issues.

Diabetic Exam

We offer diabetic eye exams, including comprehensive and dilated exams, with referral and co-management if needed for treatment. Diabetic retinopathy damages retina blood vessels or causes abnormal vessel growth, leading to vision problems. Our scans visualize retina layers and ultra-widefield images detect changes. Control blood sugar levels and have a yearly dilated retinal exam to prevent complications.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma damages the optic nerve and fibers in the eye, causing gradual loss of side vision. We can't cure glaucoma, but we can slow it down. Early detection and regular check-ups are important for slowing down the disease. Our doctors prescribe drops to lower eye pressure and can refer you to an eye specialist for surgery or laser treatment if needed.

Laser Surgery Co-Management

These exams assess patients before and after surgery to reduce their reliance on glasses or contacts. Patients have various options like LASIK, PRK, ICL, and IOL.

Dry Eye Treatment

Dry eye is a common problem with many causes. Our skilled doctors find the root of each patient's symptoms. We use advanced tests to tailor personalized treatments, suggesting lifestyle changes, artificial tears, prescriptions, or procedures. Our goal is to improve our patients' lives with a specific plan.
